Spending time with family and friends was important to him. Mark Andrew enjoyed playing golf, competitive travel ice hockey, snowboarding and movies. After graduating from Stephen F Austin High School (Sugar Land, TX) in 2014 he enrolled in the University of Houston where he was majoring in Construction Management and became a member of the KA Fraternity. He was a 20-year-old sophomore at the University when his life was tragically cut short in April of 2016. Mark Andrew and his girlfriend were walking home on the sidewalk when a drunk driver went out of control, jumped the curb, and hit them. Mark Andrew’s last act was to push her out of the way and he is remembered as a hero for saving her life. The Mark Andrew Tartaglio Scholarship Endowment has been established in his memory.

Bio
In 2017, two-time Emmy and three-time NAACP Image Award-winning television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald launched his podcast, Money Making Conversations Master Class, in partnership with iHeartMedia. Money Making Conversations Master Class shares career tips, marketing tips, and the “secrets to success” with its listening audience through interviews with successful celebrities, financial experts, entrepreneurs, and influencers. The podcast’s staggering reach, boasting approximately 1.3 million downloads monthly, underscores McDonald’s prowess as a master storyteller and brand architect. Each episode pierces through the noise of the digital era to offer clear and actionable insights. This is not about celebrating celebrities, entrepreneurs, and non-profits, but about distilling the essence of success into tangible, achievable steps for the listener.
The Money Making Conversations Master Class podcast builds on these connections. You’re not just following an individual, you’re becoming part of a community that celebrates success, embraces learning, and inspires action. It’s a community where the stories shared, the successes celebrated, and the knowledge imparted are designed to motivate you to lead with your gift, to navigate the path to your dreams, and to create your own success story one inspired step at a time. To put the Money Making Conversations Master Class podcast’s popularity in perspective, less than 10% of podcast titles at iHeartMedia exceed 1 million downloads monthly.
3815 Media, Inc. – a company that Rushion McDonald founded together with his wife, Dr. Cicelly Mitchell-McDonald -, is an MBE certified company that recently completed a nationwide “Secrets to Success” interview tour of small businesses for Walmart Business+. They are a trusted brand, producing and voicing commercials for PayPal Debit Card, Amazon Ads, Dell, Freddie Mac, Apple Card, Oscar Mayer Bacon, and 2025 Infiniti QX80. 3815 Media, Inc. also represents iHeartMedia for all media buys specifically for a minority agency. 3815 Media, Inc.’s in-house marketing can target their client’s audience through radio, podcast, social media, and newsletter in addition to producing live activations, creating graphic designs, and producing audio and video content. Finally, in 2023, the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council honored 3815 Media, Inc. with the 2023 Spirit of Alliance Award for Supplier of the Year Class I.
These accolades, while impressive, merely scratch the surface of the creators of the Rushion and Cicely McDonald Scholarship. They want to make an impact on the academic and cultural landscape at the University of Houston. Rushion McDonald is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and graduated from the College of Natural Science and Mathematics with a Degree in Mathematics and a Minor in Sociology. Dr. Cicely Mitchell-McDonald graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Their daughter, Christiana McDonald, graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media.
